What a beautiful place! We came here 7:30am to watch some birds. Entry fee is 15 Dollars p.P. We had an amazing time. The couple that owns the place is amazing. They even helped me to find the perfect spot to take pictures. Cannot recommend this place enough!!!

Balcón Tumpiki is a family-run tourist enterprise focused on birdwatching. It is located about 10 minutes from the Nanegalito-Mindo highway (follow the sign with a photo of the Andean toucan).
Admission is $15, which allows access to the tanager and toucan feeders, and the hummingbird baths. It is recommended to plan your visit early and arrive as early as possible to see the largest number of birds, but they are active practically all day long.
The site also has a cabin with four rooms and food service for those who want to visit the area for more than a few hours.

We called to inquire and were told that access to the viewpoint was $15 per person. What they didn't tell us was that the road is terrible. A four-wheel-drive vehicle is essential.

Great birding site with comfortable seating and views. Road to site is tough but worth every bump.
